As a brand strategist for Cerveza Corona, I uncovered an organic behavior: people love sharing photos of their Corona bottles with summery backdrops to gain social clout.

Great! But… most of those pictures were missing our iconic lime ritual.

So, what if we could hack thousands of social media posts with a personalization-at-scale approach—rewarding users who replaced their original photo with a “hacked” version featuring the lime—with real product discounts?

We developed a brand promo that hacked social clout, to get sales conversion by positioning our iconin lime-ritual in the digital stage.

Key Results:

  • Over 40,000 social media posts were creatively “intervened” to include the lime and re-shared with their owners

  • +21% sales increase in Corona beer through e-commerce during the campaign period
